Earth Day Assembly with "Recycling Pirates" Show a Success

The Earth Day 2016 assembly at Rappahannock County Elementary School was a great success! Rappahannock's own Goodlife Theater (Joe Pipik and Jeanne Wall) presented an engaging, entertaining and educational show about the 4 R's — Reduce, Reuse, Recyle, and Repair — that the Earth-friendly Pirates promote. The show included good singing and dancing — the kids sounded great! It culminated with shrinking the huge monster "Landfill" into a tiny hand puppet, after the lessons of the 4 R's were learned. All Elementary School students went home with information for their families about the more extensive and user-friendly recycling facilities that Rappahannock County now has. The event was sponsored and funded by RappFLOW. Happy Earth Day!
