Give Local Piedmont!

Join us on May 6, 2014, for Give Local Piedmont! RappFLOW is one of over 100 local nonprofits participating in this online, 24-hour giving day sponsored by the Northern Piedmont Community Foundation.

How does it work? Visit www.GiveLocalPiedmont.org any time after midnight on May 6th and make a secure donation with your credit card. Checks will also be accepted in person between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. at the State Theatre in Culpeper. Even small donations have the chance to go far on May 6th because the Northern Piedmont Community Foundation is offering prize incentives participating nonprofits. Plus, it will match three percent of each donation made.

RappFLOW has a goal of $5,000 to fund these projects:

• Restore the Avon Hall pond and reduce pollution by planting native trees, shrubs, and grasses.
• Provide educational materials, signage, and events to educate the public about pond management, stream buffers, and rain gardens.
• Provide scholarships for young people to participate in camps and conferences on environmental topics.
• Conduct the annual Watershed Field Day for students in Rappahannock County public and private schools.
